BALLYHEIGUE NOTES – 28th November 2014
PLOUGHING MATCH: The Ballyheigue Ploughing Match takes place on 2nd
November on the lands of Michael O’Halloran, Ballymacquinn starting at
11.30am.
CHRISTMAS CAROLS - Turning on of the lights: Rehearsals will be taking
place every Wednesday from November 5th at ‘The Youth Space’ (near
Community Centre) from 7-8pm each evening. So we are calling all you
singing songbirds, young and old, all are welcome. It promises to be a
great fun filled few weeks where we'll sing our way through the winter

GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Saturday night’s GAA
Lotto: 17-23-26-28. The Jackpot of €4,400 was not won. Next week’s
Jackpot will be €4,450. The two €50 winners were: Shane O’Halloran,
Heirhill and Tom Dunne, Glenderry. The €25 winner was Jennie Dee, Sraid
Thaidhg.
FIXTURE: Co. Under 21 Championship Q-Final Ballyheigue v Lixnaw at Lixnaw
Saturday next 3.00pm.
DECEASED OF PAST YEAR: On Friday 21st November at 7.30pm Mass, we will
prayerfully remember all those who have died during the past year.
Relatives are asked to bring a candle to the altar and their names will be
called out in remembrance. Candles will be provided, but please bring a
slip of paper with the name of your dead on it. If you would like to
remember others who died since last November outside of the parish please
hand in their names during the week.
FEAST OF ALL SOULS: On 2nd November Sunday (All Souls Day) Mass at 9.30am
and 11.00am, please remember to pray for the deceased members of family and
friends.
BREAST CANCER: Charity Walk for Breast Cancer, 2nd November at 12 noon;
fun run/walk 5km, meeting outside Ballyheigue ‘Centra’. All welcome. We
will be taking the Doon route.
BOULEENSHERE NAT.SCHOOL: The Principal, Staff and Children of Bouleenshere
N.S. would like to say a sincere thank you to all parents, grandparents and
parishioners who supported their recent fundraising coffee morning. Your
help is greatly appreciated.
COURSING LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 20th October in
the Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club Lotto: 8-18-23-26. Jackpot was
not won. The €50 winner was Mike Meehan, C/o Pat Joe. The €25 winners
were: Timmy Nolan, C/o Mac’s; N. Broder, C/o Pat Joe and David & Aodhan,
C/o Kitty. Next week’s Jackpot €2,350.
