BALLYHEIGUE NOTES – 24th September 2014

GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Saturday night’s GAA
Lotto: 4-8-10-28. The Jackpot of €4,150 was not won. Next week’s Jackpot
will be €4,200. The two €50 winners were - Liam O’Sullivan, C/o Mary; -
and Jim Cantillon, Causeway. The €25 winner was - Michael Burkett, The
Green, Ballyheigue.

WINNING STREAK: Best wishes to Julia Kenny, Marian Park who will be
appearing on

The Winning Streak Show on next Saturday night.

ALL IRELAND FINALS: Congratulations to both Kerry Minor and Kerry Senior
Football teams in pulling off the DOUBLE in Croke Park last Sunday, with
the following Scorings - (Minor): Kerry 0-17 – Donegal 1-10,+ and
(Seniors): Kerry 2-9 – Donegal 0-12.

PARISH LEAGUE: The Under-Age Parish Leagues will be take place on Saturday
morning at 11.00am.

BALLYHEIGUE GAA CLUB: ‘Clothes Recycling Drive’ continues on Saturday 27th
September and 4th October between 11.00am and 1.00pm. Please donate any
unwanted textiles, shoes, bags, belts and soft toys by dropping them to
Club House. Mobile phones also welcome, but please keep separate. There
will be a trailer in the Church Car Park for clothes donations after each
Mass. If you require your donations collected please contact Mike

*CARBON MONOXIDE AWARENESS WEEK: *

T*his week **September 22nd – 28th* *is aimed at all carbon fuel users**.*

*Remember* – Carbon Monoxide can be produced when ANY fuel is burnt,
including oil, gas, wood and coal.

*Remember** to service* – To prevent Carbon Monoxide, ensure your
appliances are installed and serviced annually by a Registered Gas
Installer, a Registered Oil Technician, or a qualified service agent for
your fuel type. Also make sure vents, flues and chimneys are kept clear.

*Remember the alarm *– Carbon Monoxide is odourless and colourless so for
added protection install an audible carbon monoxide alarm. Make sure the
alarm complies with EN 50291, carries a CE mark, has an end of life
indicator and carries an independent certification mark.

DEATHS: The death took place during the week of John Cantillon, Dreenagh
with removal on Thursday evening from Hartnett’s Funeral Home to St.
Mary’s Church. Following Requiem Mass on Friday 19th September 2014 burial
was in the Holy Family Cemetery, Ballyheigue R.I.P. Sympathy is extended to
his sister, relatives and friends.

The death also took place of Eddie Lucid of Dirtane, Ballyheigue and late of
Huddersfield, England. Removal was on Friday evening from Hartnett’s
Funeral Home to St. Mary’s Church. Following Requiem Mass on Saturday 20th
September burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballyheigue, R.I.P. Sympathy
is extended to his family, relatives and friends.

PARISH MISSION: Preparations are well underway for our Parish Mission
given by the Redemptorist Fathers from Saturday 4th October to Friday 10th
October. Thanks to the Parish Council and the very active Mission
Committee for the work they are engaged in at the moment. Please pray that
it will be a source of grace, joy and hope for all our parishioners.

COURSING LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 15th September
in the Ballyheigue and District Coursing Club Lotto: 10-11-13-16. Jackpot
was not won. The €50 winner was Paddy Hobbins, C/o Pat Joe. The €25
winners were John, James, Liam C/o Flahive’s. Maurice Leen, C/o Pat Joe
and Teresa Madden, C/o Tom Joe. Next week’s Jackpot €2,100.
